Bodens stadsbibliotek, the central library in Boden, is situated in the centre of town. The street address is Kungsgatan 51.

Library card and loans

You need a library card to borrow books or other items. A library card is issued, free of charge, with proper identification.

• With the library card you may borrow books and other items from Bodens stadsbibliotek, free of charge
• It is possible to make reservations, to queue up for books on loan to other borrowers 
• You may order books in different languages from other Swedish libraries, a service subject to a charge of 10 kr/item
• You are personally responsible for all use of your library card
• You should return all borrowed items undamaged and within the given loan period
• If you do not return borrowed items on time the library charges 5 kronor per overdue item and week
• You have to compensate the library for any destroyed or lost items

Library catalogue

You can locate all the media in the library by using our library catalogue, bibliotekskatalog, also called OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue). With a PIN-code (Personal Identification Number) you may also access your personal data within the catalogue system.

Internet access

Bodens stadsbibliotek offers access to the Internet if you buy a ticket for 19 kr/hour. To keep your right to use this service you must comply with our rules. Misuse may lead to suspension.

• You must respect all computer reservations
• You are personally responsible for your use of the Internet
• It is not allowed to visit web sites that contain any illegal or pornographic material
• Web sites that advocate racism, discrimination or harassment are prohibited
• Show respect to other library visitors and Internet users!
