The benches at Bodträsket
The Parks Department plans to install benches at Bodträsket, but the work unfortunately cannot be carried out yet. The ground is still frozen and the frost has not thawed, which means the benches cannot be installed at this time. As soon as the ground has thawed, the installation will be completed.

Risk of grass fires
The ground is currently very dry. Grass fires can easily start in dry vegetation from last year, for example from open fires or sparks from machinery. Please be very careful. Do not burn grass.

The septic tank emptying season has started!
To ensure the work can be carried out smoothly and safely, we need your help.Please make sure to:- clearly mark the tank, for example with a pole or other visible marker

Keep an eye on your water!
A cold winter causes the ground to freeze deeper than normal. This increases the risk that water pipes become chilled and, in the worst case, freeze. You may notice this if the water runs slowly, the pressure decreases, or the water stops completely.If you have municipal water and notice lower pressure or that the water stops, you should report an issue. Quick reporting allows us to investigate and fix the problem sooner.

New Plastic Sorting at Brännkläppen Recycling Centre
When you throw away plastic, you need to place plastic packaging and other plastic items in separate containers. Plastic packaging is plastic that surrounds a product, such as a ketchup bottle or plastic wrapping around food items. Other plastic refers to plastic items that are not packaging, such as sledges, buckets, and garden furniture.By sorting correctly, you help increase recycling and keep waste fees lower. ♻️

Can deposit tubes installed at various locations in Boden
The Parks unit is currently installing 20 can deposit tubes around the city, including along the pedestrian street, walkways and near schools. This makes it possible for more aluminium cans to be recycled instead of ending up in residual waste - sustainable and smart!
