Programme overview
Our purpose
We follow the International Baccalaureate mission to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who contribute to a more peaceful world.
Our goal
A coherent five-year curriculum (MYP 1–5) that steadily increases challenge and prepares pupils for the Diploma Programme or the upper-secondary route they choose.
How learning feels
Learning is active, relevant and international in outlook. Pupils ask questions, explore interests and build the skills to manage their own learning.
Structure
Ages and stage
For pupils aged 12–16 across five years: MYP 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Interdisciplinary learning
Strong focus on connections between subjects and real-world contexts.
Subject groups (all studied each year)
Language Acquisition • Language and Literature • Individuals and Societies • Mathematics • Sciences • Physical and Health Education • Arts • Design.
Time allocation
All eight groups are studied annually. The number of hours per subject varies by year.
Personal Project (final year)
A sustained, independent project where pupils demonstrate the skills and understanding built across the programme.

Nurture creative, critical and reflective thinkers.
International-mindedness
Provide a framework that fosters interdisciplinary understanding and a global perspective.
Assessment
How assessment works
Teachers use clear criteria to judge knowledge, understanding and skills in every subject. Assessment is both formative (ongoing feedback) and summative (end of unit/term).
Grades
Final judgements use a scale of 1–7, with 7 as the highest.
